Social App: Facebook could also be planning an enormous change for WhatsApp and Messenger users
Tackling the matter of too many messaging apps
Facebook may soon allow users of WhatsApp and Messenger to talk directly with each other, from within their respective apps.
Few people would disagree that there are probably too many messaging apps and services out there. While the choice is undeniably an excellent thing, it is often annoying to possess to put in a selected app just because only one of your friends is using it.
The fact that Facebook owns not only Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, but also Instagram – all of which may be used for sending and receiving messages – means managing communication across the three platforms are often a pain. it's long been hoped that Facebook might see fit integrate each of the messaging services into one another, and it seems that some progress is being made.
While the Instagram app currently advises people to use Facebook Messenger for chats, references to WhatsApp messages are spotted in Facebook Messenger. The findings by developer @Alex193a, reported by WABetaInfo, suggest that Facebook is functioning to form it possible for WhatsApp users to speak with Messenger users and the other way around.
While many of us would appreciate the choice of chatting with people that are using different messaging apps, there are complications to beat. While WhatsApp uses end-to-end encryption to secure communications, this is often not the case for all messages sent through Messenger. Facebook clearly has work to try to during this area, particularly when it involves reassuring users about privacy and security.
